Pros / positive features / Advantages:
- Full Qwerty keyboard
- Easy navigation from one program to the other.
- Its Size, not too small, not too big.
- Voice recognition, it recognizes the voice command for most of the programs you want to use.
- Its camera, better than average quality, its flash is very bright and allows for a decent photo in low light
- Surfing on the Web is good as it has a great browser, it displays full internet pages and you can switch from mobile style to Desktop style with a mouse cursor
- Spell-Check option, a great feature missing from most of the mobiles. It’s also really easy to use. I get a prompt before I send an email asking me to approve typo errors.
- The multimedia software is excellent; both on the device and on the desktop. You can watch movies, listen to MP3s and check out photos on handset.
- Full Screen view finder is a nice plus. There is even a little mirror on the back for self portraits.
- 3.5mm built in Stereo/Audio Jack.
Cons / Negative features / Disadvantages:
- Doesn’t record videos
- No 3G or Wi-Fi
- Monthly fees are associated with navigation software. The GPS does work great with BlackBerry Maps and Google Maps for location.
- Memory card is located under the battery so every time you need to take out the memory car you need to take out the battery as well.
- No playlist support for the music software.
- The ringer volumes has only 3 levels to choose from, low-medium-high. High is quite loud but the low isn’t really that low at all. It’s still kind of loud in my opinion.
- Trackball sensitivity, although you can adjust it from really sensitive to less sensitive but it only increases and decreases the speed of making selection.
- Included headset is extremely uncomfortable in my ears, the ear pieces are huge!
- They barely fit in my ears.
Conclusion / over all review:
It’s a great phone; it creates links to my favorite websites and put them on my menu screen. Google, Weather Channel, CNN, MapQuest, Fox News, Facebook are all now easily accessible for me from wherever I need.
On the other hand it has great camera as it produces clear pictures and even has a flash, which is fantastic. There is a tiny mirror on the back, so you can take pictures of yourself. There is no video recording option, which is a bit of a negative aspect to the phone. The BlackBerry has been a great phone for me and my lifestyle. As a college student getting ready to enter the professional world it has been extremely useful to me. I love it.
