Conclusion:
- Canon Powershot G10 IS is stronger in Megapixels, has one point better optical zoom, little bigger LCD with better LCD quality, higher maximum shutter speed, you can use remote control with canon.
- on the other hand Nikon Coolpix P6000 has wider aperture range, better flash range and you it has built in GPS with which you can know latitude and longitude of the picture taken.
- With almost same ISO sensitivity and such excellent features its hard to pick one however I would go for Canon G10 IS due to the reason that I can have 1 point extra optical zoom, its not a big difference still I love to capture subjects at distance and lack of optical zoom does not let me do that + the use of remote control can enable me to take my own photos from distance. Its bit heavy and bulky than the Nikon however its not much difference.
- Its really good that both cameras can capture images in RAW because later on you can easily edit them, and control many things you can not in compressed Jpeg images.
