Why shooting in Raw is important? JPEG Vs RAW

A RAW file is uncompressed image with all the details it captures directly whereas JPEG is a compressed formatted picture that might look as good as RAW on camera LCD however it is of low quality (Because its compressed to small size). That is the main reason for SLR to have a file in RAW format. There are many point and shoot digital cameras that are offering RAW format too, consider buying them because it will help you al-lot for post production.

You can edit your picture magically if you have RAW file in your computer.
